Over a year ago, I called Jon because I was interested in one of his listings, we saw the listing and several other ones per his recommendation. But shortly after, I was told that I had to use the relocation agency (assigned by my work), hence the pre-assigned agent that went with it. So I let Jon know about the situation. He was very understanding and gracious, he offered to help regardless of commission, as we are new to this area. After working with the assigned agent for several months, we lost every single property I was interested in (none by accident, as we found out later). I was being used as an instrument to get non-relo customers to bid higher on the properties. So, when my current house listed, with fear of losing it, I called Jon and asked him to be my agent, and right away, stopped working with the assigned re-lo agent altogether, and decided to forfeit the company paid closing costs.
